<lj:music>The Cat Empire</lj:music>

Today is an undeniably beautiful day. Everyone is gone, and i am on my front porch smoking and listening to The Cat Empire, pretending I'm in fact on the veranda of some Spanish beach house. Which is reminding me that I really neat to start practicing my Spanish again, apparently to get anywhere in theatre you need to be able to speak twelve languages, play three instruments, and be an accomplished dancer / acrobat. That was me being hyperbolic, by the way.

Home hasn't been to terribly boring, I am working a lot and making money, and I've picked up some books that, combined with music, have completely eradicated my need for normal human interaction. That's not to say visits wouldn't be nice, though. But I've got nothing to complain about, I will get to see Libby next week, followed immediately by a weekend in Vermont with Joe, Krista, Becca, and Rod (who I haven't seen in months, which is a problem to me.) Of course, the prospect of seeing Michael Ian Black and Michael Showalter has me positively tickled.

Wow, I am blogging. Hello blogosphere, prepare to be assaulted. Everyone buckle down their RSS feeds.

If you were curious, this is where today's post is coming from:

Mi Casa

And this is as close as you can get to where I'm typing from without getting your eyes wet:

That's all, I suppose.

    <lj:music>The Decemberists - Eli, The Barrow Boy</lj:music>

Happy Christmas, everyone.

I got some necessities, like underpants and socks.

And some new micron pens.

And my parents are buying my books for next semester, which is pretty much the best gift imaginable right now.

Going to Massachusetts pretty soon, be back tomorrow.

It's funny how Christmas is getting more and more lackluster, not so much in terms of gifts - I don't care about that shit - but just the feeling isn't really there. And it would appear that nature is agreeing, we haven't had a real white Christmas here since I don't remember when. I dunno, last Christmas was nice, maybe I've just gotten jaded and bored with family.

Happier note: My sister got a rabbit, I named him Winston, he's pretty awesome and seems to love the fact that our downstairs is pretty much a circle.

Working back at the Peppermill New Year's Eve and day, then heading back to school if Sue doesn't have any more hours for me. I need money so badly.

<lj:music>The Cat Empire - Wanted to Write a Love Song</lj:music>

It is raining today, but I feel better than rain.

Servant of Two Masters is very funny, I believe I will go again.

I had a really bizarre dream last night, I was walking away from school for a way, and I ended up on a dirt road. I walked on it for a while and then I met up with Alex. We decided to turn around and go back, and while we were walking we got picked up by some people in a van. The van had something to do with fetishes, and there was a dominatrix in there. We made small talk with her, and I made the joke, "I'd love to be AAA agent for this van if it broke down." For some reason, the van was pulled over for carrying something illegal, the cops were assholes to Alex and I. She got in an argument with a lady cop and ran away, I chased after her. We came to junkyard, full of scary pygmie like people, who were probably going to kill them. I bargained for our lives by promising to go into town to buy them sausages. Then I woke up.

Going home tomorrow night, hopefully I will be able to get some money.

Last night was really amazing. We went to Joe's summer house in Old Orchard (it is enormous), and went to down the water and smoked some cigars on the beach, the ocean and stars were pretty beautiful.
Servant of Two Masters opens this week, I am excited to see it.

I am finding that I like working with my hands more than I like to act - I think I just enjoy creating so much.

Speaking of creating, I am making myself write more, I think I am finding my poet again, it feels very very good.

I am still on a Mountain Goats kick, I do not foresee it ending anytime soon but I am okay with that.

I have been thinking a lot lately, probably too much, but it is nice to resolve a lot of things in my head and be able to look at myself and think that I am perfectly fine.

Today was uneventful, I went to bed at 6 am after some talks with Doom, and slept until noon. (Noon and Doom half-rhyme, excellent) I left math class early, and ate.

Season finale of Lost tonight, I never would have guessed that I would be so engrossed in it.

That is all, internet.

Goodnight.

Recently I have had some serious anxiety.

Like, when I am around people I don't want to be and feel very smothered, but when I am by myself I just feel alone.

I think I need a task, I don't do enough schoolwork, but fuck that.

I think I forgot how to write poems, and it seems so backwards and shitty that I might have reached the peak of being prolific in my sophomore year of high school.

I am tired, and feel like I am constantly balancing on the balls of my feet, waiting for something that I could very easily handle myself, but keep making excuses for.

I love The Mountain Goats so, so much.

I use commas far too often, I think it's because I take a lot of pauses when I speak.

I failed NaNoWriMo, I don't have the attention span for prose, and am far too careful with my words to write that much.
